Replace an entire arch. Change your entire life.

What are full-arch dental implants?

Full-arch dental implants — commonly known as All-on-X — replace an entire upper or lower arch of teeth using a small number of strategically placed implants that support a fixed, non-removable restoration. Unlike traditional dentures, full-arch implants are anchored securely in the jaw, so there is no slipping, no adhesive, and no removing them at night. At The Dental Boutique, Dr. Franco handles every phase of full-arch treatment in-house, from the initial consultation and 3D imaging through implant surgery and final restoration. Full-arch reconstruction is one of the most impactful cases Dr. Franco performs — and one he approaches with the same thoroughness and personal attention he brings to every patient.

Why full-arch implants change everything

The benefits of full-arch dental implants

Full-arch implants do more than restore the appearance of your smile. They give patients back the ability to eat what they want, speak with confidence, and stop worrying about their teeth — often after years of struggling with failing dentition or uncomfortable removable dentures.

A fixed, long-lasting solution

Full-arch implants are anchored into the jaw and do not come out. There are no removable parts, no adhesives, and no daily removal routine. You care for them the same way you care for natural teeth — brushing, flossing, and regular professional cleanings.

Eat, speak, and smile without limits

Traditional dentures can shift, limit what you eat, and affect the way you speak. Full-arch implants function like natural teeth, restoring full chewing strength and giving patients the confidence to eat, laugh, and speak without thinking about their teeth.

Preserve your jawbone and facial structure

Missing teeth cause the jawbone to deteriorate over time, which can lead to a sunken facial appearance and continued bone loss. Full-arch implants stimulate the jawbone the same way natural tooth roots do, helping to preserve bone density and maintain your facial structure for the long term.

Our full-arch implant treatments

All-on-X dental implants

All-on-X is a full-arch implant solution that uses a small number of strategically placed implants — typically four to six — to support a complete fixed arch of teeth. The implants are positioned at specific angles to maximize contact with available bone, making All-on-X a strong option for patients who have experienced some degree of bone loss. The number of implants used depends on your bone volume, anatomy, and the demands of your specific case. Dr. Franco plans every All-on-X case using cone-beam CT imaging and handles placement and restoration entirely in-house.

Implant-retained dentures

Implant-retained dentures use a small number of implants to anchor a full denture securely in place, offering significantly more stability than a traditional removable denture without the commitment of a fully fixed restoration. This is a strong option for patients who want more security and confidence than a conventional denture provides, or for those who are not candidates for a fully fixed full-arch solution. Dr. Franco will walk you through the differences and help you determine which approach fits your situation best.

Teeth in a day

For qualified candidates, teeth in a day allows Dr. Franco to place implants and attach a provisional full-arch restoration the very next day. The provisional restoration is worn during the healing period while the implants integrate with the bone, after which the final restoration is placed. Not every patient is a candidate for teeth in a day, and Dr. Franco will be straightforward with you about whether your case qualifies.

Full-mouth reconstruction

For patients who need comprehensive care across both arches — or who have complex dental needs beyond tooth replacement alone — full-mouth reconstruction brings together implant surgery, restorative care, and cosmetic planning under one roof. Dr. Franco coordinates every aspect of the case personally, building a phased treatment plan that addresses the most pressing concerns first and works toward a fully restored, functional smile. Changing someone's life through full-mouth reconstruction is one of the most rewarding things Dr. Franco does as a dentist.

The full-arch implant process

1

Consultation and 3D treatment planning

Every full-arch case begins with a thorough consultation and cone-beam CT imaging. Dr. Franco reviews your bone volume, anatomy, and overall oral health to determine which full-arch solution is the right fit for your situation. He walks you through his findings in detail, presents a clear treatment plan, and makes sure you have a full picture of the process, the timeline, and the cost before anything is scheduled. Our treatment coordinator reviews financing options at the same visit so you can move forward with a plan that works for you.

2

Implant surgery

On the day of surgery, Dr. Franco places the implants into the jawbone under local anesthesia. Sedation options are available for patients who want additional comfort throughout the procedure. Any necessary extractions or bone preparation are handled at the same appointment when possible, minimizing the number of separate visits required. For teeth-in-a-day candidates, Dr. Franco places your implants and our lab gets to work right away. You'll then return just 24 hours later to have your provisional new teeth placed.

3

Healing and osseointegration

Following surgery, the implants undergo a healing period during which they fuse with the surrounding jawbone — a process called osseointegration. This is what gives full-arch implants their strength and long-lasting stability. Dr. Franco monitors your healing throughout this phase and will let you know when the implants are ready for the final restoration. During this time, patients wear a provisional restoration that allows them to function normally while healing progresses.

4

Final restoration

Once osseointegration is complete, Dr. Franco places the final full-arch restoration — a custom-crafted, fixed set of teeth designed to look natural, fit comfortably, and hold up to the demands of daily use. He reviews your bite carefully and makes any final adjustments before you leave. The result is a complete, long-lasting smile that you care for just like natural teeth.

Most adults in good general health who are missing most or all of their teeth in an arch are potential candidates for full-arch implants. Adequate bone volume is an important factor, though patients with some bone loss may still qualify for All-on-X or may be candidates following bone grafting. Conditions and habits such as uncontrolled diabetes, active gum disease, and heavy smoking (half a pack a day or more), may need to be addressed before treatment can proceed. The best way to find out is to come in for a consultation — Dr. Franco will review your imaging and give you an honest assessment.

Traditional dentures rest on the gum tissue and can shift, cause sore spots, and limit what you eat. All-on-X implants are anchored securely in the jaw, so the restoration does not move. There is no adhesive, no removal at night, and no restriction on what you eat. Patients who have worn traditional dentures consistently describe the difference as significant.

The implants themselves are designed to last decades — and with proper care, potentially a lifetime. The restoration attached to them is a separate matter. Like any dental prosthetic, the full-arch restoration will typically require replacement every 10 to 15 years depending on wear, oral hygiene, and how well the bite is maintained over time. Dr. Franco will walk you through realistic expectations for both during your consultation so you are investing with a full understanding of what is involved.
